These extra strong spin traces come equipped with a rolling swivel at the mainline end and a swivel and snap link on the lure end for quick lure changes. The swivels at either end are crimped in place for a secure hold with slimline crimps. The use of seven strand wire ensures these traces are not only tough but extra supple too, producing enough movement to ensure the lure action is not changed in anyway by the trace. Trebles Semi Barbed A tough range of treble hooks, the same hooks we use on our AXIA 2 Hook Snap Tackle. These are semi-barbless for fish welfare and to aid unhooking. Each hook features one barbed hook point and two hook points that are barbless. The barbed hook point should be used for rigging the hook bait to, ensuring it stays on while casting and fishing. Made from strong, high tensile material these hooks will not easily straighten, giving you the confidence to land hard fighting predators with ease. Each hook point is ultra-sharp to ensure maximum penetration and secure hook holds. 2 Hook Snap Tackle Semi Barbed A stinger rig designed to increase hook up ratios and ensure you land more fish. This two treble hook rig is made for dead bait fishing for pike and zander, placing a treble hook towards the head end of the bait with another around the middle to tail end, depending on the bait size. This configuration increases the chances of a fish taking in the hook as well as the bait, regardless of which end the fish attacks from. Each rig is made from a tough, supple, seven strand wire and features two AXIA semi-barbless treble hooks for fish welfare and ease of unhooking. Shrink tubing across each crimp section streamlines the rig, protects the crimp area and helps to prevent tangles. Comes with bait flags to hold baits onto the treble hooks. Inline Pike Float A cigar shaped float designed for fishing with suspended dead or live baits when fishing for species such as pike and zander. Ideally suited to trotting dead and live baits away from the fishing area on lakes and in running water such as rivers. The line runs through the centre of the float making it easy to set the right fishing depth of the bait, the depth can be locked with a float stop or stop knot in the line above the float. The floats narrow shape makes it sensitive making it easy to spot bites and comes in a two-tone colour, with black to aid camouflage to avoid spooking weary fish and a red so it can be easily spotted by the angler. Loaded Swivel Pike Float A self cocking float ensures you can present your dead baits with ease without having to use shot or extra weight. These floats are ideally fished with the bait set over depth (the length of the line below the float set longer than the depth of the water), meaning the dead bait will be fishing on the bottom. These floats are very sensitive to movement and are used primarily as an indicator to let you know when a fish is in the vicinity, mouthing or has taken the bait. Such is the sensitivity of these floats; you will see indication on the float from a waft of a tail or the water displacement as a bigger predator moves in on the bait. These floats will often lift out of the water to indicate a bite when set correctly. Inline Pike Float Kit Everything you need to start pike and predator fishing on the float with dead or live baits. The kit features the AXIA Inline Pike Float, designed for trotting baits away and a red top for easy spotting and a black body so not to spook weary fish. The kit includes ball weight, swivels, rubber beads, AXIA semi-barbless treble hooks and float stops. The kit has been specifically designed to include everything to fish dead and live baits at the correct depth with a standard sized bait. Comes with bait flags to hold baits onto the treble hooks. Loaded Swivel Pike Float Kit Everything you need to fish with dead baits for pike and other predatory species. Comes complete with an AXIA Loaded Swivel Pike Float, these floats are designed for fishing dead baits on the bottom, fishing over depth. Their long shape makes them very sensitive allowing you to see fish indications with ease. When set correctly these floats will rise out of the water as a fish takes the bait and lifts it off the bottom. The kit includes AXIA semi-barbless treble hooks mounted on a seven strand write trace as well as rubber float stops to accurately position the float. Comes with bait flags to hold baits onto the treble hooks. Drifter Float Pike Kit A long range fishing float that can be used when fishing dead and live baits at ranges that you wouldn’t usually be able to cast to. Designed to be used with the wind blowing from behind you, the large vein on the top of the float catches the wind, with the bail arm open on the reel you can pay out line allowing the float and bait to drift further away. Often used by anglers who need to fish 100 to 200m out. The bright orange tip and large vein stand out against the water allowing you to visually see the float from long distance. It features a swivel for the mainline to float on and the kit comes with a 2-hook snap trace with AXIA semi-barbless treble hooks, ball weight and float stops so you can set the fishing depth. Comes with bait flags to hold baits onto the treble hooks. Trace Wire & Crimps Extra supple but very strong seven strand wire that is the same wire we use on our AXIA Spinning Trace and AXIA 2 Hook Snap Tackle Trace, as well as in all our AXIA float kits. The kit comes complete with quality, slim pike crimps that allow you to secure the wire correctly to swivels and treble hooks when constructing pike traces. It comes on a large 15m spool giving you plenty of wire to construct several traces. As well as being a good wire for dead, live bait and spinning traces, the wire is perfect for creating stinger traces when fishing with soft plastics. Slim Pike Crimps The strongest and most reliable way to construct pike and predator rigs is to use crimps. AXIA Crimps have been specifically designed for use with the supple, seven strand and softer strand wires that are used in the construction of pike traces. These crimps can be used for securing loops when attaching rolling swivels, snaps and hooks to the trace. Flattening the crimp along the middle areas in three spaced places while leaving the ends open will form the strongest joints. Crimps can be covered in shrink tube or anti-tangle sleeves to neaten off rigs and to streamline if necessary. Bait Flags An essential item of kit for any predator angler, AXIA Bait Flags provide a secure way of holding baits onto treble hooks. They can be use with both live and dead baits and help to prevent hooks tearing out of the bait when casting. These flags are also brightly coloured in red which helps to add a little bit of visual attraction to the bait, which can induce pike to attack. When using semi-barbless hooks, bait flags are useful for helping you identify the hook point which contains the barb when getting ready to rebait. To use them, firstly hook the treble hook through the tail or lip of the bait so that the point is exposed, then hook on the bait flag. The bait should be fixed between the bend of the treble and the flag. Predator Barrel Swivel Tough, heavy duty barrel swivels, the same as we use throughout our AXIA Predator range of tackle. Most often these swivels are used at the mainline end of a wire trace allowing you to attach the trace to the mainline of your reel. Predator Snap Swivel A heavy duty range of snap swivels that have a multitude of uses in predator fishing. They are more commonly used for quick change purposes such as quickly changing plugs, spinners and soft plastics when lure fishing for predators. They are also useful to slide on the mainline with a swivel float, the snap swivel being used to quickly change the float for a heavier one or a different type to suit changing conditions on the day. Line Stops Rubberised line stops that come on a metal spur for easy attachment to the mainline. Simply thread the mainline through the metal loop and then slide the line stop onto the line. These stops are designed to be used as a float stop, helping to easily set the depth of the float. The line stop has enough grip to keep the float in position on the line but can be slid up and down the line to fix its depth. Inline Weights Designed to load our range of floats and keep smaller dead and live baits lower in the water. These weights go between the float and the trace and are usually flanked by AXIA Rubber Beads to help absorb the shock on the float and knots when casting. Weights are inline, allowing the mainline to pass through the centre of the weight. If, for any reason you snap off, the lead will fall off the mainline along with the float allowing the pike to eventually shed the hook trace without any worry of the pike being tethered by trailing a heavy lead and a large amount of line behind it. Rubber Beads These rubber buffer beads are used to cushion impacts across the rig when casting or playing a fish. These beads can sit on the mainline above the float to provide a cushion between the float and the stop knot or float stop. Equally they can be used below the float to absorb the shock of the ball weight running up the line and banging into the float. Also, between the weight and the trace to cushion the trace swivel. They provide excellent knot protection when using running rigs, helping to protect the knot when casting heavier weights and baits to distance. Anti Tangle Sleeves Designed to go over the crimp and onto the swivel to cover the sharp tag on the wire coming out of the crimp and to stop tangles. These malleable sleeves will easily slide over the crimp and the swivel creating a short, stiff section of the trace that will kick out from the mainline to stop the soft, wire trace and treble hooks from entangling around the mainline when casting. These sleeves also prevent debris collecting on the trace around the crimp connections. Please note: Images for illustration purposes only.
