eBay This is an original late 1969 to 1971 Corvette tilt telescopic column MODIFIED with the correct longer tilt bowl and warning sticker to allow it to pass visual inspection for early 1969 Corvettes, up until approximately April 1969. The original early 1969 tilt tele columns are extremely difficult to find. I have one left in another listing. There are many internal differences on the early columns which will not be seen when completed. It will have everything correct to pass judging. The black column shown is a modified column and the blue one is an original. This listing is for a modified column made in YOUR color. Please note: The pictures above of the bright blue column show completed work I’ve done for a midwest NCRS judge. The black one in video was completed late in 2022. This column will be correct for early 1969(up to April 1969). The column will have the correct rectangular “lock” logo, the correct chrome hazard button, and correct tilt and tele levers for your year. i I will include the correct “column interlock” sticker if desired. A set of correct GM key blanks for your year will be cut to your existing key(if provided for match). The early 1969 has a longer, uncovered tilt bowl along with some different internal parts. I have a posting on Corvette Forum showing the differences. I rarely see these, so if you are going to have your early 1969 judged, dont lose any points with this one. The column comes with all parts, and all mechanical portions of the column will be refurbished. Any new parts needed will be provided. I am meticulous as far as cosmetic issues, and spend a lot of time making sure the upper painted surfaces are excellent, and use the correct color code Corvette paint. I have reproduced the factory stickers that were originally on the column per the NCRS judging manual. I do not bead blast or sandblast the main shaft as I see elsewhere, as the shaft should have the zinc phosphate coating on it which I do my best to preserve.
