This incredible steel sculpture of an Octopus on a fouled Anchor is made exclusively from steel and wood taken from the WW1 & WW2 Battleship USS Texas (BB35), the last of the Dreadnoughts! The low background steel was taken from the torpedo blisters on the side of the hull of the USS Texas during restoration. The USS Texas was the flagship of the US Fleet from 1927 until 1941. This is an opportunity to own a historic piece of art made from steel from the USS Texas Battleship which was decorated with 5 battle stars during WW2! This steel was forged into an incredible objet d’Art by Blacksmith and artist Jeff Workman. This superb sculpture is quite large and weighs over 8 Lbs (excluding the sandstone base) and measures approximately 16″ x 14″ x 11″ at widest points (excluding the sandstone base). This is a Museum quality piece and a once in a life time piece of art and piece of history from an amazing battleship and it comes with a Certificate of Authenticity!
